E-Commerce Booth Camp 2013 (AIE COLLEGE URDANETA CAMPUS)

I. Introduction to E-Commerce

Electronic commerce, commonly known as e-commerce, is a type of industry where buying and selling of product or service is conducted over electronic systems such as the Internet and other computer networks. Electronic commerce draws on technologies such as mobile commerce, electronic funds transfer, supply chain management, Internet marketing, online transaction processing, electronic data interchange (EDI), inventory management systems, and automated data collection systems. Modern electronic commerce typically uses the World Wide Web at least at one point in the transaction's life-cycle, although it may encompass a wider range of technologies such as e-mail, mobile devices social media, and telephones as well.

Electronic commerce is generally considered to be the sales aspect of e-business. It also consists of the exchange of data to facilitate the financing and payment aspects of business transactions.

E-commerce can be divided into:

  • E-tailing or "virtual storefronts" on websites with online catalogs, sometimes gathered into a "virtual mall"
  • The gathering and use of demographic data through Web contacts and social media

  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), the business-to-business exchange of data

  • E-mail and fax and their use as media for reaching prospective and established               customers (for example, with newsletters)

III. Travelogue:
Travel is the most exciting, spine-tingling thing we can do in our lives, but sometimes it doesn’t go exactly as we’d planned! Hihi. So here’s my Travelogue before, during, and after our Seminar and Fieldtrip in Manila ^_^
When they announced that were going to have a Seminar in Manila plus a Field Trip after that Seminar, I already told my self that “This is exciting!” ^_^
The day after we went in Manila, Beverly already told me that she will slept our house, but sadly my other classmates slept at school with our other schoolmates because they wait until the time of our departure. So, Beverly and I slept in my room. We surf the net when we got home in our house till exactly 11:00, we take a bath and get ready on our Seminar and Fieldtrip few hours from that time ^_^
At exactly 3:00 am in the morning , we ride Bus #1. Our bus has already arrived at school and we waited for about almost an hour until the other student’s came. I’m beginning to pissed of  when they told us we have to wait another minute because the other students/schoolmates has not yet arrived. All first year student was on Bus #1, while on bus B are those second year student. We were so excited that time! LOL! Hahaha! ^_^
Infact, most of us couldn’t get enough sleep because of excitement. While were on the road, most of us were fall asleep ^_^  Hmmmm, around 7:00 or 8:00 I think, we already arrived at Quezon City where our Seminar were held.0 During the seminar, all of us were so exhausted, sleepy and tired, even our instructors! Hahahaha!. I thought they were listening to what the speaker all about, but they actually sleeping, eventhough US (I.T. 1st and 2nd year) Hahaha! It’s funny but true ^_^
Our guest of co-speaker during that day is Mr.Greco Belgica who’s running for senatorial position this coming election and we had Mrs. Janette Toral our SPEAKER, the site owner of “DigitalFilipino.com”. I’ve already said she a practicing e-commerce, social media, and Internet marketing specialist, Trainer, Blogger, policy lobbyist, entrepreneur  and dubbed as "Mother of E-Commerce Law in the Philippines". etc. They give us also some plastic envelope with brochures, ballpen, and bond papers to write down what we had heard but most of us were not listening and fall asleep!! Hahahahaha!. Hmmmmm, the event went well, we had fun and were given a chance to mingle and meet other students from other branch of AIE college who joined and participate in that event ^_^And after the seminar the much awaited part of the tour was next!
We went in “Enchanted Kingdom”. Actually, it was my fourth time to go to Enchanted Kingdom  and I was not so frightened when we get into that “Extreme Tower” but after we ride, I said to myself, “WHOOOOO!! That was so fun!!”. All rides was so exciting! Their foods and drinks was so expensive!!!! HAHAHA! My classmates shocked that time but me??? I’m not shocked because that’s my fourth time to go to Enchanted! Haha! LOL! :) And around 5pm, I already bought my souvenirs/pasalubongs for my beloved family, relatives and friends eventhough it so so soooooo expensive! LOL! ^_^
All of us have fun, and said to myself: “I enjoy that 1 day full of bored but also full of FUN and EXCITEMENT!! And it was worth it” ^_^ And after that, we already at the bus around 6pm and they distributed our dinner and after we ate, we already on our way back to Pangasinan again, and I fall asleep while I was listening MP3 from my cellphone ^_^
